Enzyme wash on denim

Enzyme washing is a technique that applies enzymes, usually from natural sources like bacteria or fungi, to fabrics to achieve softness, worn-in textures, and a slightly faded appearance in garments. The enzymes act on specific components, like cotton's cellulose, and remove the surface fibers of the fabric without damaging its overall structure. The fabric becomes softer and has a distressed, vintage-like look. Enzyme washing is often used in the making of denim jeans and casual wear, as it creates a comfortable feel while also simulating the effects of natural aging and wear.
